Art for Every Star - Skyky Canadian Children’s Drawing Contest Raises Fund for Autism Ontario

Toronto, Sept. 3, 2025 - The Skyky Multicultural Learning Foundation proudly hosted the Art for Every Star – Canadian Children’s Drawing Contest Award Ceremony on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Xinflix Auditorium, Markham. More than 300 people attended the celebration, which successfully raised $3,500 for Autism Ontario.

The contest recognized outstanding young talent, with Eric Cao, Seona Kim, and Channing Gao awarded first prizes (full winner list attached). Each participant’s artwork has been included and published in the event’s artbook.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Ms. Echo Liu, Chair of the Skyky Foundation; Ms. Tinna Xu, Board Director of the Foundation; MPP Aris Babikian, Scarborough–Agincourt; Ms. Ramela Garcia, Fund and Volunteer Coordinator at Autism Ontario; Mr. Paul Nguyen, long-time Skyky supporter; and Dr. Michelle Xiu, representing the presenting sponsor Bright Eyes Optometry. Teachers from the supporting art studios and members of the selection team also joined the event.

The Art for Every Star contest is part of the “Children Help Children” charity initiative by the Skyky Foundation. Since 2018, the Foundation has empowered young leaders through its Youth Committee, encouraging them to spearhead charitable projects and community service initiatives.

This year, under the leadership of youth committee member Catherine Sun, the young organizing team proudly launched this national art competition to raise awareness and support for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Through creativity and compassion, the event highlights inclusion, celebrates neurodiversity, and inspires children to use their talents for social good.

More than 200 young artists submitted their works for the contest. The Youth Organizing Committee - Catherine Sun (Chair), Miffy Gao (Co-Chair), Eason Chen (Co-Chair), Doria Huang, and Enzo Chen - expressed heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming community support. Special thanks were extended to presenting sponsor Bright Eyes Optometry, the seven supporting art studios (Kevin's Art Studio, Feeling Art Studio, Jean Arts Lab, Philharmonic Music and Art Canada, KaKa Art Lab, Star Light Art Studio, and LoveFunARTs), and the dedicated selection team (Ms. Nazy Sakhavarz, Mr. Kevin Li, Ms. Jean Jiang, Ms. Grace Xu, and Ms. Echo Liu).

The Skyky Foundation is honored to present this contest and its results, and extends sincere appreciation to all participants, families, and supporters whose creativity and generosity made a meaningful difference.
